Window regulator on the Audi went out late last week and the replacement parts I ordered were going to be a few days before they arrived. The past few 1-hour rides to and from work at 5am have been pretty chilly. But, on the cusp of a rainy day tomorrow, I just finished replacing the entire motor and regulator assembly in the parking lot after the parts arrived a day earlier than expected. Even better- it got rid of that awful squealing whenever the window was rolled up or down! I'll be warm and dry in the morning instead of listening to a trash bag flap in the wind.

I remember my 72 Volvo - window regulators broke ... regularly. New one from the junkyard, and piece of a broom handle to hold it up until I found said replacement. Simpler times.

Be glad you don't havve a mid-90's Panther. Worst regulators ever made.
